The iconic DMV cycling event returns to National Landing! Two levels of a parking garage transform into an underground race course, thrilling spectators and challenging cyclists with twists and turns.
With 10 races throughout the day - from the competitive Championship, Fixed Gear and Relay races to the wacky Anything Goes finale (think costumes and carts!) - there's something for everyone.
Prefer to cheer on racers? Spectators enjoy a pop-up bar, local eats, on-site activities, and cowbells galore at "one of the coolest events on two wheels in the D.C. area (WTOP)."

Anything Goes!
The event culminates in the highly anticipated Anything Goes Finale, a (non-competitive) parade of creativity. Spectators gather to watch participants showcase their wild, imaginative non-motorized vehicles on the course. From hilariously unconventional designs and costumes to unexpected engineering marvels, the Anything Goes Finale brings the community together for a joyous and unexpected conclusion to the day.

What skill levels can sign up to race?
The Garage Racing National Championships include 10 races across all skill levels, from novice to expert. We encourage all to sign up.

Is there a day of event registration for bike races?
No, all registration for races must be completed in advance of the event.

Can I bring outside food and beverages?
All alcoholic beverages must be purchased at the event bar. Please enjoy the offerings from several local on-site food and beverage vendors.

Can I bring my own chairs to watch the race?
Yes, you may bring your own chairs so long as they are not blocking any race areas or walking paths. The event will include some seating areas and tables for spectators and racers to enjoy.

How accessible is the event for wheelchairs and strollers?
The racer’s entrance is also an accessible entrance. An elevator brings you directly to the G4 level and is located near the sidewalk on 12th Street near the corner of Long Bridge Drive. Please note: If you enter the building lobby and take the elevator via the East Tower & West Tower entrance there is a short staircase to enter the event.

- Once you go down to the levels of the parking garage where the event is being held cell phone reception may be impacted.
- People with sensitivity to loud noises may need hearing protection as noises echo inside the garage.
- Dress warmly as if you’re attending an event outside.

Can I reach the event via Metro?
The event is Metro=accessible from the Pentagon City (approximately an 11-minute walk from the metro).

Where can I get my bike services before or after the races in National Landing?
Head to Conte’s Bike Shop, located in National Landing’s Met Park at 1350 S Eads St! During Garage Racing National Championships, Trek Bikes will have an onsite mechanic station.
